How to Apply
Horninglow is an inclusive school that is keen to welcome children from all backgrounds. We are always happy to welcome prospective parents for a tour of the school and a meeting with a member of our leadership team before your child starts at the school.
Nursery Admissions
Horninglow has a designated nursery class available for three terms in the academic year prior to full time admittance. Pupils admitted to the nursery will still be required to register for a place in Reception Class. Please click on the link below to see a short guide setting out the eligibility requirements for 30 hours childcare for parents of 3- and 4-year-olds in England.

The applications for Nursery are available between January and end of March. Applications are made directly with the school.

Reception Admissions
The official Staffordshire County Council applications for Reception are available between early November and mid January.

Reception places are allocated by Staffordshire County Council, following our admissions criteria, which is published on our website under ‘admissions’.

In Year Admissions/Transfers
If you have moved into the area, or you wish to move your child from an existing school to our school, then you need to complete an in-year transfer form and return this to school. These are available from Staffordshire County Council website here and below.
We will advise of the outcome of your in-year application within 10 school days but at the very latest within 15 days.
In the event that the place is refused information about the independent appeals process will be detailed in the letter.
